More about the "Line"
In Rolfing we are trying to establish the most verticality with support that has equal amounts of body mass behind and in front of this imaginary lateral line which is not a plumb line and is different for everyone. In this before and after animation from a single session you can see less flexion in his thigh and that brings his waistline back and lengthens his neck and maintains his vison toward the horizon without creating too much flexion or extension in his neck. This movement reveals in the after picture an equal amount of body mass forward and behind this imaginary lateral line. My client reports that even small shifts are helpful in his regular workout routine.
